Productdetails

You are purchasing a beautiful piece of vintage 1930s Art Deco foil art also referred to as"Tramp art" (often called tinsel painting) measuring 5.25" x 4.5" (frame) / 2 1/8" x 1 5/8" (glass artwork). This unique piece features molded relief glass that is textured and bumpy on the front, giving the pink and purple floral bouquet a striking three-dimensional quality. The details of the flowers and vase are hand-painted on the reverse side of the glass, layered over a crinkled metallic foil inlay and an opaque backdrop. Framed in a chunky, heavily handcarved gold-tone wooden frame. During the Depression era, families had little disposable income, so families and manufacturers had to get creative and crafted items from inexpensive materials. Perfect for those art collectors of Tramp art and great for gallery walls. Please purchase responsibility. No cancelations, refunds or returns. Ask questions before purchasing. See all pictures. Thank you.
