This substantial one-volume collection brings together the entire Sherlock Holmes canon: all four novels and all fifty-six short stories featuring Holmes and Dr. Watson. From A Study in Scarlet and The Hound of the Baskervilles to “The Adventure of the Speckled Band” and “The Final Problem,” it offers the complete arc of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous creation in one hefty volume. This classic Doubleday edition includes a preface by noted Sherlockian Christopher Morley and was published by arrangement with the Conan Doyle estate. The one-volume format became one of the recognizable American editions of the complete Holmes canon, and this copy retains its illustrated dust jacket. A strong shelf piece for a Sherlock Holmes, classic mystery, or detective-fiction collection.
