Stunning 1860s Civil War-era portrait of a bearded Union officer wearing shoulder straps, beautifully displayed in an ornate gold-tone mat and antique embossed case! Photographer's backmark reads J. W. Taft, O.K. Gallery, 282½ Main St., Memphis, Tennessee. Includes a vintage 3-cent revenue stamp on the reverse. A fantastic piece of Civil War military photography with Southern studio provenance! Original case shows age-related wear. Photograph presents beautifully. A wonderful addition to any Civil War, military, or antique photography collection!

I am back at it with new and new to you items! Previously chrismurat, I’m a lifelong educator newly retired, and downsizing some of my many collections. Who am I kidding? My new collections are crowding out my old ones. Mom of 4, Nana to 5. I’ve always been an old soul. Join me! I’m selling glass too, but not as knowledgeable about it. Bear with me! Stay tuned for coins and stamps!
