This large Mikori Ware serving platter features hand-painted floral and branching botanical decoration in rust red, green, purple, and yellow on a warm white ground. Made in Japan and estimated to date from the 1950s, the round glazed ceramic plate measures approximately 12 inches across by 1/2 inch high and weighs 2 pounds 8 ounces unpacked. Its generous size works well for serving, table displays, or decorative plate stands. It has a few small flea bites along the upper surface or rim and scattered light surface and decoration wear that blends into the detailed pattern. No cracks noted.
