My name is Jeffery Oxendine. I worked 30 years as a heavy equipment repairman, heavy frame welder and truck driver. My wife Shawanna, daughter Rebecca, son Dakota and I live in Southeast NC. My family provides kinship care for 3 nephews ages 15, 12, 6 and a niece age 19. Our niece graduated last year and joined the U.S. Navy. I enjoy collecting old knives and antiques. My family is Lumbee and I enjoy making knives, bows, arrows, masks and some traditional wear. I ride my electric wheelchair, that I modified with oversized tractor tires, around our property watching for deer, bear, coyote, raccoon, fox, duck, turkey, quail and many others that are Native to the Chalk Banks of the Lumber River.
