Marianna H.M. is a Boston-based fiber and visual artist and the founder of Sm¡¡13y (pronounced Smiley), a brand rooted in craftsmanship, community, and joy. Working across crochet, knitting, Tunisian crochet, and mixed visual arts, she creates wearable and functional pieces that celebrate culture, care, and resilience. Raised volunteering at Twelfth Baptist Church alongside her late grandmother, Barbara Ann Coren, Marianna’s work is shaped by a lifelong commitment to service. Early experiences in choir and an ASL solo at the church sparked her passion for accessibility and language justice. Through Sm¡¡13y, she blends art with purpose—circulating creativity back into the community and uplifting future entrepreneurs.
