copper is not a precious metal, it's a base metal. it is NOT the new silver. there's roughly 1,000 ounces of copper for every ounce of silver, 20,000 ounces for every ounce of gold. There is enough copper in the ground to meet our industrial needs for centuries, and that's if we didn't recycle, which we do. Buying copper on Whatnot as an investment is so foolish it's almost tragic.
