I read and collect comics. I buy from sellers who give realistic, defect-focused appraisals of their books. I don't trust sellers who only talk about how minty-clean each book is, or constantly spam the word "guys."For me, the value of a comic is all about the condition and contents of the book (of which the cover is only one page). I don't assign much value to advertising inserts, low-run reprints, newsstand scarcity, or errors. I especially dislike artificial scarcity schemes like exclusives and ratios.
