Ratepe, Son of MideahRAT-eh-peyRatepe, son of Mideah, appears in Planeswalker, the second novel of the Artifacts Cycle. A slave purchased by Xantcha and shaped to resemble Mishra, he is intended to steady Urza’s increasingly unstable mind by confronting him with a living echo of his lost brother. Though treated as a tool, he ultimately claims his own agency, sacrificing himself alongside Xantcha to help save Urza from Gix.
