Collecting has been a transformative force in my life. At my lowest point, struggling with drug addiction, collecting became an unlikely source of hope and motivation. The thrill of the hunt, the satisfaction of adding a new treasure to my collection, and the sense of community with fellow collectors helped distract me from the grip of addiction.As I slowly began to rebuild my life, collecting remained a constant source of comfort and purpose. It gave me a reason to get out of bed, to engage with others, and to work towards a goal. The ritual of collecting – researching, searching, and acquiring – became a healthy coping mechanism, replacing the destructive patterns of addiction. Now nine years clean. here we are gonna help give to others.
