Authentic vintage Palekh Russian lacquer miniature brooch, approximately 2 inches in size. Hand painted in traditional Soviet-era style, featuring a charming folk dance scene with accordion player, floral accents, and hand-applied gold scrollwork on a deep black lacquer ground. The reverse is inscribed in Cyrillic: “Палех художник …” (“Palekh, artist …”), indicating workshop origin and individual artist attribution. Crafted in tempera over lacquered papier-mâché, not a print or resin piece. Fine facial detailing and layered brushwork typical of Palekh miniature art.
