2 coin set with the 2 Generals/Commanders from the First Battle of Bull Run (1861), the first major land battle of the American Civil War: Pierre G.T. Beauregard (Left): A prominent Confederate General. He is famous for commanding the defenses of Charleston during the start of the war at Fort Sumter and for his victory at the First Battle of Bull Run. Irvin McDowell (Right): A Union General. He is best known for leading the Union army to defeat at that same first battle. Interestingly, he and Beauregard were classmates at West Point. These are modern, third-party "enhanced" uncirculated U.S. Mint Kennedy Half Dollars with a high-quality colorized decal or "tribute" overlay to the obverse (front) of the coin.
