Charming pair of hand-painted blue and white porcelain fish salt and pepper shakers. Each plump little fish features cobalt blue brushwork—scales, fins, and big round eyes—on a soft white ground, in a classic chinoiserie/Asian-inspired style. Cheerful curled tails and a glossy glaze. Original rubber stoppers may or may not be present (check the base). A sweet set for collectors of salt & pepper shakers, blue and white china lovers, coastal/cottage kitchens, or anyone who loves a whimsical tablescape. Condition: Good vintage condition.
