Framed oval-vignette head-and-shoulders portrait, likely dated 1905–1915. This is a serious young man. He showed up and showed out with a neatly combed, side-part pompadour and dark wool sack suit jacket with peaked lapels and a patterned bow tie. Was this is graduation? Linkedin portrait for his new fancy law firm job? We may never know. The frame is vintage faux wood with gold trim. The back says Melvin Ashcroft 1911 but I’m like 99.969% sure this ain’t Melvin.
