Bewertungen (2)The offer was accepted on a pair of Nike Air Force 1 Valentine’s Day shoes.
There is something strangely intimate about an accepted offer. Two strangers briefly agree upon the monetary value of an object intended to symbolize love, as though affection itself can be negotiated somewhere between the asking price and whatever I was willing to pay.
The shoes are beautiful. Romantic without becoming ridiculous, built upon a silhouette that has survived decades of changing tastes. Soon they will arrive and become a gift rather than merchandise.
For now, they exist somewhere between seller and buyer, moving through warehouses and highways toward someone I care about.
Love fades. Flowers die. Chocolate disappears almost immediately.
Apparently my answer is sneakers.
Offer accepted.
Five stars.
