Product Details

Late 19th to Early 20th Century -17 inches long -9.5 inches wide -13 inches tall when open -11.5 inches tall when closed and adjusted to correct height (and if it was totally filled with something like clothes) but creased leather makes it 10 inches tall. Handle adds another 3 inches when you are carrying it. Leather on seams is worn and crackling in some places with a few holes and tears. Could use some restoration. Lined in tan colored soft leather or suede. There is one hole in the lining and a stain and some staining. This bag could be used for clothes or a weekend bag. Bag does open and close easily. No key like it originally had.

About the Seller
the ecology of objects buy a piece of history · jewelry: antique & vintage · antique medical prescriptions & curiosities · manuscripts, books, ephemera · handmade artifacts & antiques Epoch Archive explores the ecology of objects: how everyday things connect people, history, materials, belief, commerce, & memory. I studied art history & art conservation. I grew up tagging along with my uncle, an antique dealer, as he hunted for antiques “that can’t talk on the telephone” (pre-1900) in SF Bay Area. I’ve worked in the waste reduction/reuse/recycling industry for 17 years.
