It said "brand new," but the package was beaten up. The controller was intact, but if it's a gift, I would have expected a better presentation. Description claimed it was “authentic” it was not. This is a knockoff Apple product and not the real thing. Was quite obvious in hand immediately. Microscope was broken and unusable.
