It said "brand new," but the package was beaten up. The controller was intact, but if it's a gift, I would have expected a better presentation. Ordered ear protection for my kids but seller sends me a pair that doesn’t look anything like the listing. It’s a different model by a different brand. Description claimed it was “authentic” it was not. This is a knockoff Apple product and not the real thing. Was quite obvious in hand immediately. Microscope was broken and unusable.
