Complete 1900 Little, Brown and Company edition of Alexandre Dumas’s The Count of Monte Cristo, issued in two matching burgundy cloth bindings as part of The Romances of Alexandre Dumas. The first bound book, lettered I on the spine, contains the internally titled Volumes I and II; the second, lettered II, contains Volume III, completing the novel. A substantial turn-of-the-century edition of Dumas’s classic story of Edmond Dantès, imprisonment, escape, hidden treasure and carefully planned revenge, with gilt-lettered spines and copyright dates of 1889 and 1894.
