Original 19th century carte de visite photograph depicting actress Clara Rousby, photographed by celebrated New York photographer José Maria Mora, 707 Broadway, N.Y. Beautiful Victorian theatrical portrait with strong eye contact and classic Mora studio styling. Likely dating to the early-to-mid 1870s during Rousby’s stage career. Reverse bears penciled identification. Albumen photograph mounted on original CDV card stock. Attractive collector example of early celebrity and theatrical photography.
