This unique vintage still sealed and full 1949 Alado Lisbon Ruby sweet red grape wine bottle features a distinctively rustic, hand-woven wicker basket casing (fiasco style) enveloping the glass body. The bottle is fitted with a woven wicker handle on the back accented by a decorative red ribbon, a matching woven topper over the cork, and an original small, rusted metal tag stamped "ALADO" hanging from the neck. Its original gold foil labels are remarkably intact, featuring the bold "ALADO" brand name, the product description, a family crest for Joaquim António da Silveira in Lisboa, and notation that it was imported by Vintage Imports of Cleveland, Ohio. This 1 pint, 8 fl. oz. collectible bottle shows wonderful aged patina on the wicker and paper elements, making it an excellent display piece for bar or wine enthusiasts.
