A 19th century copper skeleton key and write-up of the show notes. This is a smaller key .5-1 oz that you can put on a necklace. From circa 1860s. Also includes a multi-page show notes guide: We the People: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness — an object-based journey through American history, told through newspapers, letters, currency, political satire, wartime photos, magazines, and other pieces of everyday life from the last 250 years. This won’t just be a sale. It’s a conversation about what Americans were reading, fearing, debating, believing, fighting over, and hoping for — from the Revolution and early republic to the Civil War, Reconstruction, the Gilded Age, world wars, mass media, the Cold War, and beyond. The objects tell a bigger story: America has always been an unfinished argument over freedom, faith, labor, wealth, land, media, identity, and who truly belongs in “We the People.” I’ll be sharing pieces that show how ordinary people lived inside those debates

the ecology of objects buy a piece of history · jewelry: antique & vintage · antique medical prescriptions & curiosities · manuscripts, books, ephemera · handmade artifacts & antiques Epoch Archive explores the ecology of objects: how everyday things connect people, history, materials, belief, commerce, & memory. I studied art history & art conservation. I grew up tagging along with my uncle, an antique dealer, as he hunted for antiques “that can’t talk on the telephone” (pre-1900) in SF Bay Area. I’ve worked in the waste reduction/reuse/recycling industry for 17 years.
