Antique wooden ammunition crate from The Clinton Cartridge Co., Chicago, Illinois. Original stenciled advertising includes “Small Arms Ammunition,” “Smokeless Powder,” “Loaded Shells,” and Clinton Cartridge Co. Chicago, Ill. End panel is marked 500 – 12 GA and Pioneer Smokeless Powder Shells. Measures approximately 14" x 9" x 9". Excellent early hunting and sporting advertising piece with especially attractive typography and original aged wood. Great for an ammunition, hunting, advertising, general store, or sporting goods collection. Vintage condition with scratches, staining, edge wear, nail holes, fading and other age-related wear.
