Very good antique used condition! Portrait is in excellent condition! The frame is very solid but has a couple of issues. There is a 1/4" chip on the right side and there is a surface crack at that same spot. There is also a crack in the upper left corner. On the outside left and right sides of the frame, there are holes that appear to be from some type of mount that had been there previously. (see pics). The woman has a classic Victorian hairstyle, a high-collared shirt with a neck ribbon and distinct drop earrings. This style of historical image is typically a Cabinet Card or a Carte de Visite (CDV). The portrait is housed in a beautiful, ornate gilt wood or gesso frame with decorative floral accents carved at the top and bottom corners!
