The knives are most probably TSA seizures from airports and bought on auction from public surplus sites. But looking at the piles of knives at auction, I knew this going in. About 50/50 on the number of knives I bought that were chewed up from banging around with pounds of knives seized. Blades were all good but just keep this in mind when bidding. Perfect, like new. Clean , sharp, tight.
