Whatnot requires that all giveaways include clear prize descriptions, entry methods, and a formal release of liability. Sellers must offer a free Alternative Method of Entry (AMOE) for buyer appreciation giveaways and cannot deny winners their prizes. Giveaways run for 5 minutes, and winners must be present.

Key 2026 Giveaway Rules & Requirements
Mandatory AMOE: Buyers must be able to enter without purchase, specifically through a web form for US/Canada users on buyer appreciation giveaways.
No Denying Winners: Sellers cannot withhold or change a prize based on who wins, and winners do not need to react in the chat to claim their prize.
Clear Disclosures: Prizes must be clearly described before running, including in the listing or livestream. Surprise products must remain on screen until fully opened.

Surprise Product Transparency: For "pull boxes" or "mystery bags," if a seller ends a game early, they must reveal all remaining items to prove the top prizes were actually available.
