Scratches were obvious, discs were not checked! Every issue is met with a different excuse and none of them lead to a solution. If you want to avoid frustration, steer clear. My Worst Experience on Whatnot So Far!
I’ve had several issues with purchases from this seller, including missing discs, wrong discs in cases, and damaged or cracked cases. But my worst experience happened when I bought a mystery horror Blu-ray/DVD box. When the box arrived, there wasn’t a single horror title inside.
I contacted the seller to let him know, and he promised to send a replacement. I even tipped him $10 to cover the Priority Shipping cost. But he never sent the box. Instead, he strung me along for two months with excuses, delays, and eventually complete silence. I finally had to get Whatnot involved.
The seller lied, and it’s such a shame because I had bought a lot from him before. After this experience, I will never buy from him again. Missing a disc. Messaged seller. Never received a response. ordered on 10/19 and they didn't ship it until 11/7. I messaged them on the 3rd asking about it. No one got back with me but it was shipped out 4 days after. I have been buying a LOT from them for months....never had a problem until lately. Disappointed. I've done business with these guys for months and all was great. This order I had some issues so I messaged them and have not heard back from them and I've given them a couple weeks. Three of my items were missing everything was great very fast shipping and thanks again for the givvy great guy great show great stuff thanks Media Love! great seller, fun shows. good crowd. never know what you are going to find on Media Love! Rarely anything to complain about, another great selection from show, I'll miss these guys if I stop whatnotting lol got an amazing deal on a huge stack of dvds :) very happy with everything i got, thank you! amazing packaging. very nice dvds. love your shows and will definitely be a repeat customer This is really unfortunate, but I have messaged about receiving empty dvd cases(or a like burned home movie in one case) and he told me he would get it mailed out with “my next order” but I’ve also been waiting for about two months for another replacement dvd that hasn’t come yet. I don’t feel like it’s fair that I would need to purchase something again to receive what I originally purchase & it was just damaged. Beware that majority of the time the dvd cases are not checked. #87 was fine, but #132 was missing a disc. This Halloween box was a major letdown from start to finish. It took far too long to arrive, and when it finally did, it was clear that zero care or quality control went into it. Many of the discs were visibly scuffed—if anyone had actually checked them, several wouldn’t pass a basic inspection. Worse, 2–3 of the TV sets had a strange sticky residue that absolutely wasn’t part of the original packaging.
This will be my last purchase from this seller. I’ve been patient and accommodating, hoping for improvement, but that goodwill has run dry. I sincerely hope others have better experiences, but I can’t recommend someone who treats customers this way. I’m deeply disappointed by this seller’s lack of follow-through. I won a buyer’s giveaway that included a six-month subscription to his website’s basic tier box—supposedly filled with TV sets, DVDs, snacks, and more. Despite multiple attempts to follow up, the seller has never acknowledged the prize. It’s been weeks, and I’ve received nothing.
This feels like a bait-and-switch tactic, and it’s unacceptable. On top of that, many of the discs I did receive are scratched or scuffed, making playback unreliable at best. Some work, others don’t.
I’ve given this seller the benefit of the doubt, but the silence and poor product quality speak volumes. I can no longer recommend or support a seller who treats customers this way. I initially gave 5-star reviews out of goodwill, trusting the seller would make things right. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. A major item arrived damaged due to nonexistent packing. The seller acknowledged the issue and promised to curate a couple of boxes to make up for it. I accepted the offer and moved on in good faith.
Since then, I’ve followed up multiple times with no response—just silence. It feels like once the money was received, the concern vanished. I’m a patient person and always try to see the best in others, but the threshold of time and grace has passed.
Caveat emptor: buyers beware. This experience has been disappointing, and I can no longer recommend this seller. As always, thank you for all the great movies.
