However, this 22-note lot ($9 w/ S&H) was in much worse cond. than it appeared.
Only 8 of 22 were decent. Those had creases, folds & a couple pen marks, but were otherwise alright. Another 7 were very rough—crumpled, faded, thinned, w/ rips & missing corners—but complete. The last 7 were garbage: torn, missing significant portions, & 1 w/ mold. Those were tossed.
I ended up w/ 15 notes, only 10 unique (5 dupes), & half were extremely rough.
He put the lot together off-cam. He did fan it out, but I only saw 2 really beat up. The worst stayed hidden. After it sold, he said I could take the okay ones & “turn it around.” That was the extent of his cond. disclosure.
I never would have bid if he was transparent about the cond.
I’d buy from him again based on past experience, but he needs to be more upfront w/ condition disclosure. Not a total loss, but I’ll be cautious w/ large lotsHi am so sorry about this. I thought I had clarified that these notes were just some common/ more beat up banknotes and that’s why I said I’d just buck and go them. I probably just didn’t clarify good enough or maybe you came in late on the auction. Either way I’m sorry you didn’t get what you thought you would be getting and I take responsibility.
