This is an antique Nippon Rose Painted Covered Cheese Dish. It is a hand-painted rose pattern,pink and white, with green leaves and gold accents, including a gold border and handle. Circa Victorian and Edwardian eras (roughly 1880s-1920s). The dish dimensions are approximately 7 3/4" long, 5 3/4" wide at the top, and 4 1/2" wide at the bottom. The cover measures about 6 1/2" long, 4 1/2" to 3 3/8" wide, and 3" to 1 1/2" tall. Sold as is. Might be slight wear to the gold on the handle. Otherwise no chips or cracks. Actual weight is 1.5 lbs, shipping weight will be higher.
