Series 1974 $5 Federal Reserve Note featuring a genuine minor to moderate board break printing error. Dark, uneven ink areas are visible through the center of Lincoln’s portrait and along the right border, caused by a crack or separation in the printing press backing board that allowed excess ink to transfer during printing. This is a recognized intaglio printing error and not post-production damage. Attractive, clearly visible example of a board break error. Original note with no repairs or alterations.
