These are ABSOLUTELY STUNNING Delftware hand painted plates with cutouts. They each feature the traditional Windmill of Holland fame, and carry the traditional makers mark on the bottom. The vivid Delft blue is spectacular. There are no chips, cracks or crazing in these amazing pieces. They each measure 5 inches in diameter, and are identical. The cut outs line up exactly with each other when stored. Because of their smaller size, these were most likely used as trinket plates or saucers. They can be used to catch change, or keys on an entry table. Use at the sink to hold your rings, a sponge or can even be an absolutely elegant way to hold a few wrapped chocolates for any special occasion. Use them as part of a plate or gallery wall to fill in some smaller openings. Delftware is extremely easy to mix in with any blue/white decor - either on the wall as part of a display, or on the table mixed with other blue/white plates.
