This is a handcrafted woven ash wood basket produced by the Peterboro Basket Company of Peterborough, New Hampshire. Part of their Coastal or Nautical collection, the basket features a signature navy blue stained rim, overhead handle, and a horizontal accent band. It is decorated with white knotted cotton rope tassels (mimicking boat fenders) and two small, hand-painted wooden buoy charms (one red/white and one blue/white). The basket is constructed with traditional copper or brass rivets and is a popular regional collectible in the New England area.
