Rare 1791 Isaac Collins Holy Bible, printed and sold by Isaac Collins in Trenton, New Jersey — the celebrated first Bible printed in New Jersey, also known as the 1st Family Bible in America. Only around 100 copies known to exist. This large quarto King James Bible includes the Apocrypha, New Testament title page dated 1791, and John Downame’s Concordance. It also contains extensive handwritten family records for the Smith, Woodward, Williams, Preston, and Coates families, with strong Quaker Pennsylvania / Chester County / Philadelphia-area connections. This is an antique Bible over 230 years old. It has been rebound, likely in a later 19th-century leather binding. The main Old Testament title page is a modern facsimile or replacement and is not original to the book. The New Testament title page dated 1791 is original. Interior pages show age toning, foxing, staining, handling wear, edge wear, and some old repairs or fragile areas, especially near the front.
