This is a vintage Japanese cobalt blue ceramic ginger jar with gold and floral peacock motifs.This piece is frequently identified as Kutani style porcelain, featuring dark blue glazing. It features peacock designs accented with gold trim. These jars are often dated to the Mid-Century Modern (MCM) era, specifically the 1950s or 1960s. In addition I have a vintage Japanese cobalt blue porcelain fan-shaped trinket dish with hand-painted peacock and chrysanthemum details. The porcelain dish features a cobalt blue glaze adorned with gold trim, peacocks and gilt flowers. These items are often attributed to the Kutani area in Japan and are known as cobalt blue ceramics. This decorative piece is designed to function as a trinket dish, candy dish or display piece. Both stickers on the bottom reads Karen Nat Fine Porcelain Giftware JAPAN. Both are in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or missing paint. The ginger jar is 9” tall and the fan is 10” wide and 6 1/2” tall.
