This is a handmade Madonna and Child plaque from the collection of Estelle Fleming. She started creating her collection in 1957. She began the collection as part of her devotion to the infant Jesus and his mother. Her collection comes from all over the world and many were obtained by friends and family. She created each plaque through a decoupage technique on front and used different materials for each back. This is 4 in a set of 36 different plaques. The placard on the back describing the painting was placed upside by the creator. No chips, cracks or missing paint. The wood is of a distressed nature.
