Product Details

This is a vintage Ucagco Ceramics porcelain figurine spill vase, featuring a Victorian-style figure alongside a decorative container. Produced in Japan, these figurines were often imported by the United China and Glass Company (Ucagco) during the mid-20th century (circa 1940s–1950s). The piece depicts a colonial-style girl accompanied by a small pocket or vase intended for holding flower buds or "spills" (small sticks used to transfer fire from a fireplace to light lamps or candles). It features intricate, hand-painted details with gold embellishments and floral accents on a bisque porcelain finish. It has the foil label on the bottom that says "Ucagco Ceramics Japan". No chips, cracks or missing paint. No structural damage. It is 5 1/2 inches tall.

About the Seller
I am a retired Psychology professor who loves vintage items and vintage jewelry. I enjoy going to estate sales, antique stores and browsing on vintage and antique websites. I love to research each item to determine origin and purpose of the items that peak my interest. I have just started selling some of the things I have found over the years. When I am not looking for treasures, I love spending time with my husband, kids, grandkids and my three yorkies! I’m a pretty creative person so, I’ve stated making sun catchers with some of the vintage jewelry I find. I may start selling them too! love to travel and go to the beach as often as I can.
