The first bound book, lettered I on the spine, contains the internally titled Volumes I and II; the second, lettered II, contains Volume III, completing the novel. A substantial turn-of-the-century edition of Dumas’s classic story of Edmond Dantès, imprisonment, escape, hidden treasure and carefully planned revenge, with gilt-lettered spines and copyright dates of 1889 and 1894.
