Striking Vantine’s Egyptian Revival incense burner featuring a kneeling Egyptian woman atop an ornate pedestal base decorated with traditional Egyptian-inspired motifs. Marked Vantine’s 12771 Made in France on the underside. Pieces from Vantine’s are highly sought after by collectors of Egyptian Revival décor, a style that surged in popularity during the late 19th and early 20th centuries and was inspired by fascination with ancient Egypt. This example displays beautifully as a decorative object, shelf accent, or addition to an Egyptian Revival collection. Measures approximately 5.5 inches. Condition: Vintage condition with age-related wear and patina consistent with age. The original incense insert is missing, and there is loss to a decorative metal element on one side of the base.
