Beautiful vintage Japanese decorative charger featuring an elegant pair of pheasants beneath blooming cherry blossoms with colorful chrysanthemums and a richly decorated red and gold geometric gilt border. The reverse bears a Japanese character mark consistent with Kutani-style export porcelain. While the exact maker cannot be confirmed from the mark alone, this style was commonly produced in Japan during the mid to late 20th century (approximately 1960s–1980s). The plate measures 12” in diameter x 1½” deep and displays beautifully on a stand or wall. The vibrant enamel colors and extensive gold decoration make it an eye-catching piece for Asian-inspired, traditional, Chinoiserie, or Grandmillennial décor. There are a few light surface scratches to the gold border from normal display and age (see photos), but it remains in very good vintage condition overall.no chips or cracks.
