Ancient hammered silver drachm from the Sasanian Persian Empire, circa AD 224–651. The obverse features a crowned Sasanian ruler facing right, surrounded by Pahlavi-style inscriptions and border symbols. The reverse depicts the traditional Zoroastrian fire altar flanked by two attendants, with mint and regnal-year markings in the outer fields. This broad, irregularly shaped example retains a recognizable portrait and a comparatively strong fire-altar reverse. Visible circulation wear, scratches, surface deposits, toning, weakly struck areas, and ancient-style flan irregularities are present.
