Pair of vintage Georges Briard Oriental Peacock porcelain coffee cups, made in Japan, each approx. 2.5" tall. No saucers included. Features colorful peacock bird artwork with blue and red border accents on white porcelain. The underside identifies the pattern as an authentic reproduction of early 19th century Oriental porcelain, circa 1825, from Briard’s private collection. Georges Briard was the design name of Jascha Brojdo, known for bold mid-century glassware, ceramics, barware, and serveware popular from the 1950s-1970s. Great MCM, chinoiserie, bird, coffee, tea, or replacement china collectible. No chips or cracks noted. light surface wear, small specks, and minor discoloration/residue, mostly around the bases and foot rings. See pictures for further details on condition.
