Rare 1960s/70s Japanese "Hineri" cased art glass vase by Iwatsu Glass (Osaka, Japan). Often mistaken for high-end Italian Murano or Bohemian Czech glass due to its incredible weight & premium hand-blown quality. ​Features the highly sought-after "Rainbow" colorway: a striking, hand-stretched blend of pastel pink, sky blue, & vibrant green. The molten glass is masterfully twisted ("Hineri" translates to twist) so the colors overlap beautifully inside the thick, cased clear glass walls. ​STUNNING DESIGN CONTRADICTION: Flared, organic, hand-manipulated "end-of-day" spattered trumpet rim that flows down into a heavy, razor-sharp, geometric square-cased base with a ground-flat bottom.
