Vintage anthropomorphic pink poodle salt and pepper shakers. Dating to the late 1940s or 1950s. Details: ​The Gentleman Poodle: Stands on his hind legs on a grassy base adorned with bright red and yellow flowers, wearing a glossy black top hat/bowler hat and leaning on a brown walking cane. ​The Lady Poodle: Coordinates beautifully on her own flowered grassy base, donning a green fascinator-style hat with a bright yellow feather/accent, while holding a black umbrella. ​Both features sweet hand-painted facial details, classic mid-century "spotted" snouts, and a high-gloss glaze finish. ​Condition: ​Excellent Vintage Condition: No chips, cracks, flea bites, or repairs noted. The hand-painted cold paint accents (on the hats, flowers, and accessories) remain remarkably bright and intact. ​Stoppers Included: Both shakers retain their original green textured stoppers on the bottom. ​Markings: Each base is stamped with the classic green "JAPAN" hallmark.
