American Waltham Grade 220 “Grand Royal” pocket watch dating to approximately 1900. This desirable 12-size watch features a 15-jewel manual wind Safety Barrel movement (Serial No. 9662734) housed in a beautifully engraved hunter case with an intricate hummingbird and floral motif. The white dial features applied gold-tone Arabic numerals, blued steel hands, and a recessed sub-seconds register. The watch is currently running; however, it will require servicing for accurate timekeeping. Service history is unknown. The case material is unmarked. A scarce Grand Royal grade movement paired with an exceptionally attractive engraved case makes this an excellent collector’s piece, restoration candidate, or display watch for any American pocket watch collection.
