Beautiful 1899 Elgin Grade 153 featuring a 16-size, 17-jewel manual wind movement housed in an attractive Defiance case. The watch is currently running but should be serviced for accurate timekeeping and long-term reliability. The crown must be gently pressed inward while winding, although the watch sets normally, so it is being sold as-is as a running restoration candidate. The movement is clean with attractive original damaskeening, and the porcelain dial shows honest age-related wear consistent with its 125+ year history.
