Condition: Very Good. Original cloth remains bright with gilt decoration and lettering well preserved. Light rubbing at extremities, a few scattered spots and areas of discoloration to the cloth, and gentle bumping to the corners. Text block sound and square. Previous owner’s 1932 Christmas gift inscription on the front pastedown. Moderate foxing to the endpapers and scattered throughout the text, somewhat heavier on the preliminaries. All twelve tipped-in color plates are present, clean, bright, and securely mounted with tissue guards intact. A very presentable, complete copy of this increasingly collectible edition.
