Complete with all 16 mounted color plates with captioned tissue guards, together with numerous black-and-white illustrations by Arthur Rackham throughout the text. A sound, unrestored copy with moderate rubbing and fading to the spine, wear at the spine ends and corners, and a cracked front inner hinge with starting on the back, the text block remains secure. Interior generally clean with bright, vibrant plates. Several of the black-and-white illustrations have been neatly hand-colored by a contemporary child owner, an early ownership alteration that does not affect the color plates.
