This mid century brooch is a real statement piece. The blue stones vary in size, colour and cut which makes it more interesting than the average brooch. Each stone sits in a quality cup setting - the blue stones all being claw set. The star of the show - for me -is the unique construction details. It’s unsigned, but whoever designed/made this brooch wanted to create a high quality piece of costume jewellery. The leaves are die-cast in a flowing shape which gives them a very natural appearance. The fan shaped element is superbly constructed with individuality curved stems radiating from the centre and dotted with small clear rhinestones. The style and build suggest post-war manufacture, with the most likely origin being German/ Austrian/Czech. All in all a really lovely brooch which screams quality!
