Product Details

See callouts An absolutely spectacular early 19th-century British historical treasure! This authentic antique soft-paste porcelain / ironstone teapot stands just under 7 inches tall to the top of its unique molded finial. Beautifully decorated in classic Staffordshire Sprigware fashion, featuring dainty, meticulously hand-painted purple flowers and delicate green leaves sprigged across a shaped, bulbous body. Boasts incredible period details including an ornate, rococo-style scrolled handle and a matching scalloped footed base. Remarkably comes with its original inset lid intact. Shows gorgeous natural glaze aging, uniform historic crazing, and honest wear consistent with a ~190-year-old centerpiece. A premier piece for advanced early English pottery or historical teapot collectors!
