Unique Mechanical Feature: The underside of each shaker features a vintage metal multi-hole wheel/dial mechanism set into a felt-lined base protective ring meant to provide a squeaking sound when used. The squeakers, unfortunately, no longer work. ​Convenient Side-Fill Ports: Unlike standard shakers filled from the bottom, these are cleverly filled via dedicated side ports equipped with clear round stoppers. ​Classic Spice Holes: The spice distribution holes are located on the top of each bird's head (the green bird features 5 holes, and the yellow bird features 3 holes). ​Measurements: ​Height: Approximately 4.5 inches tall. ​Condition: Beautiful vintage condition with bright, glossy glazes. They show a wonderful aged character with clear details. The original black and gold "JAPAN" paper/foil import label is still intact on the yellow bird's tree trunk. No structural cracks or major damage observed; minor typical glaze/paint variations from original hand-painting.
